A Big Mess Made Bigger- Who Spilled The TEA?
Thanks, Tea Party. Thanks a lot for all your undivided attention to the problems at hand. Let's see: 2 wars, great depression, no job creation, slow recovery, civil rights dispute- I could go on and on... But I will leave the blame for these problems securely in the Republican/Tea Party's lap.
Democrats were given less than 2 years to undo all of the catastrophes mentioned above. The Republican/Tea Party worked extremely hard to create, implement and exacerbate the two wars, the greatest depression since 1930, no job creation, and voting 'NO' on any recovery plans or equal rights amendments trying to get passed by the most energetic Speaker of the House, Speaker Pelosi.
What did the Republican Tea Party do? Besides voting 'no' on everything and anything helpful to the American people like health care reform, the only thing that the Party of No could decide on was tax cuts for the very richest, top 1% of the populace. What did this 'tax cut' do? Well, in the midst of two wars and unregulated greed on Wall Street, this tax cut took its toll on the American people and the economy like a woman scorned. Hell hath no fury...
The Republican Tea Party's biggest issue when the sky fell on America? Give all of our money to the banks that got us into this mess, and keep the tax cuts for the very richest people while the rest of us maggots lose our homes, jobs and food stamps- if you are lucky enough to get them. Give our money to the banks? When have the banks given any money to us as a large group, in a lump sum amount that starts with the letter 'b'?! Talk about a huge redistribution of wealth upwards like we have never seen before.
Even while the Democrats enjoyed their short-lived majority, the Republican Tea Party vowed and wowed the congress with stall and kill tactics that would make prisoners of Abu Grahib wince and groan. They literally bullied the other non-Republicans into voting for watered down, meaningless ghosts of the bills they did pass.
The one rallying cry from the 'new' Republican Tea Party? Fight for Americans? Nope. Fight for American jobs? Nope. Fight for anything American? Nope.
The one, unifying cry beheld by all Republican Tea Partiers is: "Get Rid of Our President Obama at All Cost"*
*One disagreement with that statement is the word "Our"- that word is optional with Republicans.
You would think that the majority of people would be upset when the Republicans took our money, our homes and our jobs and vote them all out of office at the mid-terms just because. I thought that. But no, if the people of America had a problem with "Republicans", then the problem to fix that one word is simple; just re brand yourself and call your same old GOP by a different name. Hence the Tea Party was born. Problem solved. What does the Republican Tea Party stand for? This is funny. Hilarious. Not really- but here goes: Taxed Enough Already. Get it? T-E-A = Taxed Enough Already.
Really? Record deficits caused by President Bush. Two wars chosen by President Bush. Record, slashing tax cuts, unheard of previously in the entire history of the USA during wartime and implemented by President Bush. Scandals and record imprisonments of cabinet/administration members...Did I mention he was a Republican president?
Okay. Now comes the mid-term elections. Republican/Tea Partiers take back a majority in the House, and gain seats in the Senate. What?
The stage is set. There is definitely a huge rift in the Republican Tea Party. They can't decide their own name. They can't decide who should be in their own party- or head the RNC. Some factions of the 'Tea' party claim they want nothing to do with their other half, the Republicans. But then they turn around and go far right of the most conservative Republicans. It is like trying to watch a plane fly with no left wing. I think it is bound to crash.
The bad news for the rest of us is that they will have control of the House in a couple of months. Can they straighten up and fly right? lol-Idk.
What is their rallying cry? The Republican Tea Party cries "We will get rid of President Obama at all costs."
Looks like gridlock to me. All America's problems be damned. Republican Tea Partiers don't care. You watch and see. Mark my words. Count the 'investigations' against a perfectly good President Obama. See how much money of ours they spend looking for impeachment. Remember Bill Clinton? I sure am glad I didn't vote for any Republican Tea Partiers!
20/20 What Happened To the "America First" Crowd???
